Will there be a Sling TV Black Friday deal in 2024?

The best thing about sales seasons like Black Friday is that we see really competitive deals that let you try out streaming services, and people are hoping that we can see some great deals on Sling TV this year.

Black Friday falls on Friday, November 29th this year, the day after Thanksgiving, but as you probably know, most companies start their sales weeks in advance. So will Sling TV be the same; Will there even be a discount?

Sling TV is one of the oldest live TV streaming services and remains popular due to its competitive pricing, significantly outperforming its major competitors. A discount would double this advantage.

We can't say anything specific about Sling TV's Black Friday deals at the moment, as it's still a long way off. However, I've been following Black Friday for years, so I can make some predictions about what I expect we'll see.

Will there be a Black Friday deal on Sling TV plans?

There is no free trial of Sling TV. Instead, the streamer typically offers new subscribers the opportunity to sign up for the first month at a discounted rate. So there is almost always an offer on Sling TV anyway.

Last year, Sling TV didn't offer any additional discounts beyond that, but it did put a novel twist on the trial price: There was an Amazon Fire TV Stick Lite for new subscribers. This device allows users to turn their TV into a Smart TV, effectively ensuring that everyone can use Sling TV no matter what device they use.

Given that Sling TV is already affordable, I think the streamer will most likely repeat this offer in 2024 instead of offering a standard discount.

Two important details support this. First, Sling TV hasn't seen a price increase this year, as that would give the impression that a discount was viable. Secondly, the new Amazon Fire TV Stick HD has just launched and that would be a great option to replace the Lite on offer.

Should you wait for a Sling TV Black Friday deal?

Assuming my prediction above is correct, the Sling TV Black Friday deal is worth waiting for if you don't have a smart TV. If I'm right, you'll get an easy way to upgrade your device, and even if I'm not right, there are tons of discounts on Fire TV Sticks anyway.

However, if you don't need an Amazon Fire TV Stick (maybe you already have one or you already have a smart TV), then waiting might not do you any good. Keep in mind that I could be wrong and get a discount, and it might be worth waiting just to be sure.

How much does Sling TV cost without the deal?

However, if you want the best of both worlds, there is a plan called Sling Orange + Blue that combines these two packages. It costs $55 per month, making it only slightly more expensive.
