“Real Time” host Bill Maher struck a much more concerned tone Friday night after confidently predicting that Vice President Kamala Harris would win the 2024 election.

“Democrats need to stop believing that an October surprise will save us from another Trump term,” Maher began his monologue. “Trump's superpower as a candidate is that he has been so consistently and pervasively terrible for so long that you just don't see it anymore… If you're waiting for an October surprise that takes him out, keep dreaming. There's a better chance of another “Joker' Musical.”

He noted that Harris has had some stumbles during her recent media campaign.

“This is Kamala’s big dilemma,” Maher later continued. “Trump is invulnerable to an October surprise, but she is very vulnerable because she is the one who is not yet defined. And as she showed in the Bret Baier interview this week, when she's attacked for her own actions, her go-to line is usually, “Trump is worse.” Okay, we know that, but now undecided voters want to hear about you. You want someone to vote for you.

BILL MAHER ASKS MEDIA QUESTIONS TO AVOID DOUG EMHOFF CONTROVERSY: “Wouldn’t that make it look worse?”

The HBO host summarized that Trump's coalition is made up of “people who really like him” and people who think he's better than “the radical left-wing madness.”

“And the big doubt voters have about Kamala is: Are you part of the radical left-wing madness?” asked Maher. “The attack ad I see 10 times a day, and a question Bret Baier directed at her on Wednesday, concerned her statement in 2019 that she supported performing taxpayer-funded gender reassignment surgeries on illegal immigrants in prison, something that never actually happened and hasn't happened.” But it's a litmus test for voters out there who want to know about the Democrat – is there anything your party members can suggest that will ever make you say, ” No, this is fucking ridiculous?'”

Maher then turned to Harris' appearance on “The View,” where she said “she can't think of anything” she would have done differently during the Biden presidency.

He called that answer “no bueno.”

“It’s getting late early and we can’t afford any more bad answers like this last week,” Maher said. “Next time maybe try 'Joe Biden has generally done a good job, but of course I wish we would tighten the border sooner, like we have now, and trust me, I've learned my lesson, and that will never happen.'”

He then made a direct appeal to the Democratic candidate.

“Kamala, it is so important that you win this election, not only for the preservation of a true democracy and for the good of the world, but also because I predicted a month ago that you would win this election, and if you “It's going to make me look bad,” Maher said, sparking laughter from the audience. “I have a really good prediction rate, so please don’t worry! Kamala, since I put my mark on you and said you would win and I wasn't even worried about it, everyone, everywhere on the street in LA, texting me, emailing me, holding me in restaurants and asks me: “Bill, are you sure?” No, I’m not sure! Of course I’m not sure, but that’s my gut feeling!”

“I think Kamala Harris wants that. I think she can do it, not to mention if she loses, she'll never know the end of Joe. 'I told you I was the only one who could beat him' Biden,” Maher added.

Maher had previously predicted after last month's presidential debate that Harris had kept the election under wraps.

“I’m going to make this a very significant evening with a prediction,” Maher said at the time. “Because I have the credibility to make that prediction because I've been called a 'Trump alarmist' for a very long time. They were wrong, I was right – he wouldn't give up power. But since then and since the (Access Hollywood) tape…and every time he's done crazy things and gotten himself into trouble, I said, 'It's not over yet.'”

“Tonight I say — I think it’s over,” Maher said, drawing cheers from his liberal audience.
