Vanderbilt Football must play one final non-conference game against Ball State in the 2024 season before its SEC schedule expires.

The Commodores (4-2) are coming off two straight wins against Alabama and Kentucky, led by quarterback Diego Pavia.

The Cardinals (2-4) defeated Kent State last weekend, their first win over an FBS opponent this season. Ball State also picked up a win over Missouri State.

A win on Saturday could put Vanderbilt within one win of bowl eligibility, something the Commodores haven't accomplished under Clark Lea or at all since 2018.

Although Pavia suffered a knee injury against Kentucky, Lea said there are no concerns about his ability to play and that the team currently has no plans to hold him out of the game against the Cardinals.
