Lou Gramm takes the stage with Foreigner for the Rock Hall induction on Saturday night

“Juke Box Hero” Lou Gramm was scheduled to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in a ceremony Saturday night in Cleveland.

The local rock legend would join his former bandmates as the group Foreigner officially enters rock history.

Gramm, a former member and lead singer of Foreigner — known for hits like “Cold as Ice,” “Waiting For a Girl Like You” and “Urgent” — grew up in Gates and still lives here.

News10NBC's Jennifer Lewke spoke with Gramm about Foreigner's launch plan when it was announced.

Jennifer Lewke: “What's the plan for this weekend and how will everything turn out?”

Lou Gramm: “We will, I know there will be some, they will introduce us. There will be an acceptance speech and I’m told the original band will be playing two songs.”

Jennifer Lewke: “I saw your Rolling Stone article and I know one of those songs is 'I want to know what love is', 'I want to know what love is' – what's number 2?”

Lou Gramm: “I hope it's 'Juke Box Hero'.”

Foreigner will be inducted alongside other 2024 inductees including Cher, Ozzy Osbourne, A Tribe Called Quest and the Dave Matthews Band.

The induction ceremony will be broadcast live on Disney+ starting at 7 p.m
