Elon Musk launches million-dollar gifts for petition signers at Pennsylvania City Hall

Elon Musk announced that he would hand out a $1 million check every day until the election on Saturday night at a town hall in Pennsylvania.

Tesla's CEO said that recipients of the money will be signatories of his petition for free speech and the right to bear arms.

“I have a surprise for you,” Musk said. “We will give away $1 million every day from now until the election to people who have signed the petition.”

How do we make people aware of this petition? Because the old media is not ready to report on it. “Not everyone is on X,” Musk said. “So I think, how do we get people to know about this?” Well, I think this message will really hit home.

The winner at the Harrisburg town hall was John Dreher, who described himself as a “big fan” of Musk.

After giving Dreher the award, he said he was only asking that Dreher continue to be a spokesman for the petition.

Dreher congratulated Musk on his recent SpaceX rocket catch, thanked him and said he's been following him for years.

“I received your autobiography ten years ago and have followed you ever since,” Dreher told Musk. “Big fan.”

This comes just days after he began offering $100 to petition signers in an announcement on his platform X.

After the awards ceremony, Musk said he thought “this is kind of fun” and “it seems like a good use of the money.”

During the town hall, Musk touched on other things, such as the importance of early voting in the Trump-Vance campaign.
