Ozzy Osbourne was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on Saturday night (October 19) in Cleveland with a rousing and highly entertaining speech from Jack Black. The Prince of Darkness was also honored with a three-song performance featuring Maynard James Keenan, Jelly Roll and Billy Idol.

Jack Black gave an all-time Rock Hall speech, his face turning red as he hilariously screamed his way through a highly animated recap of Ozzy's various accomplishments.

Ozzy himself followed him, sitting in a huge leather armchair with a bat design. In his short speech, the metal icon particularly highlighted his late guitarist Randy Rhoads and his wife Sharon.

Next was the all-star performance, with Tool's Maynard James Keenan singing “Crazy Train” alongside Wolfgang Van Halen on lead guitar, with a backing band of Chad Smith on drums, Robert Trujillo on bass, Andrew Watt on the rhythm guitar and Adam Wakeman on keyboards.

Jelly Roll and Zakk Wylde were next in the spotlight with “Mama, I'm Coming Home.”

Wylde then entered the audience as he shredded his guitar and belted out “No More Tears” with Billy Idol as Osbourne and Black watched from the side of the stage and sang along to the lyrics.

The Ozzy part was undoubtedly a highlight of the ceremony. It took place four hours later and injected some life into the celebrations after a series of lengthy speeches drained some of the energy from the crowd.

This induction marked the second time Ozzy made his way into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, having been inducted with Black Sabbath in 2006.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony was streamed live on Disney+ and can also be replayed on Hulu.
