There will be a whiteout for the Green Bay Packers game against the Houston Texans today at Lambeau Field.

Jordan Love and the Packers (4-2), all dressed in white uniforms and helmets in keeping with the “Winter Alert” theme, will be looking for their third straight win when they host CJ Stroud and the Texans for a Week 7 game.

The Texans (5-1) come to Green Bay having won three straight games and are atop the AFC South. They have already played more NFC North opponents than the Packers, defeated the Chicago Bears and suffered their only loss of the season to the Minnesota Vikings.

Sunday's duel pits two teams that both convincingly won playoff games last year and have exciting young squads full of playmakers.

Love, who appears to be returning to form after missing two games earlier this season with a sprained MCL in his left knee, faces a Texas team that has one of the better pass defenses in the league. Meanwhile, reigning Offensive Rookie of the Year Stroud will face a Packers defense that has been looking for turnovers all year long.

The theme is “Winter Warning,” but it’s 22 degrees at kickoff. How about this for October weather? It couldn't get any nicer for a fall day.

The white the fans wear should at least keep them cool.

The Packers quarterback understood the task. When he arrived at the game, he performed his Sunday best during the “White Out” theme.

Starting defensive tackle Devonte Wyatt is inactive for the third straight game with an ankle injury.

Wyatt was excluded from Friday's injury report. Safety Kitan Oladapo, defensive end Brenton Cox Jr., guard/center Jacob Monk, tackle Travis Glover and tight end John FitzPatrick complete the Packers' inactive list.

The Packers and Texans meet for the sixth time on Sunday. The Packers lead the all-time series 4-1.

The Packers will wear all-white helmets and uniforms for their “Winter Warning” theme. The team is also asking fans to wear white to create a white-out atmosphere.

Brandon McManus is the Packers' new kicker. The Packers signed veteran McManus to a one-year contract this week after releasing the struggling Brayden Narveson.

McManus, 31, last played for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2023. He signed with the Washington Commanders in the offseason, but was released after allegations of sexual assault and harassment emerged from his time in Jacksonville.

A Florida district court judge dismissed the lawsuit in early September, but the lawsuit was refiled. The NFL later determined that there was “insufficient evidence” that McManus violated the NFL's conduct policy, which allowed him to sign with another team.

According to court records, McManus' case remains open, but he said this week that it was “resolved.”

The Packers vs. Texans game is CBS' top game of Week 7. That means you'll hear Jim Nantz (play-by-play) and Tony Romo (analyst) in the booth while Tracy Wolfson is on the sidelines.

The Packers are 4-2 this season after winning their last two games.

The Packers' two losses came in Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles of Brazil and in Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings when Love was returning from injury.

Green Bay took a 2-0 lead when Jordan Love was sidelined with injury earlier this season and Malik Willis started at quarterback.

The Texans are 5-1 and have a two-game lead over the second-place Indianapolis Colts. Houston is on a three-game winning streak and dominated the New England Patriots with 41 points last week.

Their only loss is to the Vikings in Week 3.

The Packers are the field goal favorite over the Texans.

The Packers are healthy again. The team had 52 of its 53 players practice Friday. Defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt, who hasn't played since injuring his ankle in Week 4 against the Vikings, was the only player who didn't practice.

Wyatt has already been ruled out for Sunday's game. Meanwhile, wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (shoulder) and defensive lineman Colby Wooden (knee) are questionable. Both had a limited number of participants at training this week.
