Packers vs. Texans, week 7 first half discussion thread

Packers vs. Texans, week 7 first half discussion thread

It's going to be a terribly warm day for a winter warning.

The Green Bay Packers host the Houston Texans at Lambeau Field today, with the Packers donning their new all-white alternate jerseys. The so-called “Winter Alert” uniform set is being unveiled for the first time today, but it comes on an unseasonably warm Sunday afternoon, with sunny skies and high temperatures expected to reach the high 70s.

Regardless of the weather, however, today's game is one of the best matchups in the NFL this week, or perhaps all season. The Packers and Texans were popular preseason favorites to represent their respective conferences in the Super Bowl this year, and so far they have lived up to that billing. These two teams have a combined record of 9-3 through six weeks and are both deep in the playoff race.

However, the Texans have an easier path to the postseason because they play in an AFC South division that has no other strong competition. Meanwhile, Green Bay is locked in a six-week battle with the best four-team division in modern history, as all four teams in the NFC North are 4-2 or better.

Can the Packers pull out a big win at home on this warm Sunday afternoon? Join us as we watch the first half to find out.
