Longhorns fall behind in updated college polls

Texas football suffered its first loss of the season against Georgia on Saturday, dropping it from the top of the rankings.

The Longhorns' 30-15 loss to the Bulldogs dropped coach Steve Sarkisian's team to No. 6 in the updated US LBM Coaches' Poll released Sunday morning.

As a reward for their efforts, the Bulldogs moved up to second place.

Texas also fell to No. 5 in the new AP poll. Its Week 9 opponent, Vanderbilt, entered the poll at No. 25.
