UCF Knights women's basketball 2024-25 schedule, results

The UCF Knights have put together a strong schedule for the 2024-25 season under coach Sytia Messer.

The Knights are coming off a 12-17 season in Messer's second year in Orlando. She did not lead the Knights to the NCAA Tournament last season, a slight step down from her debut in 2022-23, when the Knights lost 14-15.

She is a former assistant coach under Kim Mulkey at both Baylor and LSU and was once the head coach at Tennessee Tech. The Knights competed in the NCAA Tournament the season prior to their arrival. Her predecessor, Katie Abrahamson-Henderson, filled the open position at Georgia.

The Knights will play two games in Las Vegas at the Thomas and Mack Center, facing UNLV and then Montana in the UNLV Thanksgiving Classic.

UCF opens Big 12 play on December 21st at home against TCU, while it closes the league on the road on March 2nd at Houston.

The Big 12 Tournament will take place March 5-10 at T-Mobile Arena and all 16 teams will participate, with the top four teams in the final standings receiving double byes and the teams placed fifth through eighth receiving receive individual bye tickets.
