Utah OC Andy Ludwig resigns, Kyle Whittingham issues statement

Utah has lost three straight games and scored just 36 points total in those contests, and the program has apparently decided to make a change.

Offensive Coordinator Andy Ludwig has resigned, according to a report from Steve Bartle from KSL Sports.

“Assistant Coach Andy Ludwig has made the decision to resign from his position with Utah Football,” Whittingham said. “Andy is the ultimate professional and we would like to thank him for his total commitment to our program throughout his ten seasons with us.

“Coach Ludwig has been instrumental to our success here at Utah and I personally have great respect and admiration for Andy, both as a coach and as a person. We wish him nothing but the best in all his future endeavors.”

Utah's offense struggled quite a bit, although there were admittedly some challenging circumstances due to injuries at the quarterback position.

Still, the program ranks just 95th nationally in offense at 24.0 points per game. And that number has fallen in recent weeks. Utah has not scored more than 22 points in a game in the last four contests.

The team's total offense ranks 72nd nationally (385.9 yards per game), while its rushing offense ranks 66th (159.6 yards per game) and its passing offense ranks 71st (226.3 yards per game). ) proven. But the team's passing efficiency is only 100.

Now the program will try to adapt on the fly with a new set of voices responsible for the offense.
