5 winners (and 2 losers) from the Commanders' win over the Panthers in Week 7

The Washington Commanders had a great chance to get their campaign back on track at home against the Carolina Panthers. It was a mission they accomplished with minimal fuss on a day of nostalgia and celebration at Northwest Stadium.

Legendary cornerback Darrell Green's No. 28 has finally been retired. The Commanders honored his legacy with another ruthlessly efficient performance against one of the league's bottom teams. Carolina is undermanned and a poor football team that lacks confidence, but the way Washington handles inferior opponents is extremely encouraging.

There was one concern surrounding rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels' rib injury. Other than that, there weren't many holes to pick. Head coach Dan Quinn wants to build on that with another home game next weekend against the Chicago Bears.

This is for the not too distant future. For now, here are five winners and two losers from Washington's convincing triumph over the Panthers in Week 7.

Winner #1

Commanders rush to attack

The return of Brian Robinson Jr. to the lineup was a big boost for the Washington Commanders. Kliff Kingsbury relied a little more on the run as Jayden Daniels headed to the sideline, which was the right decision given the current state of Carolina's defensive front seven.

Daniels got the ball rolling with a 46-yard run right in front of the goal. Once the signal caller went out, Washington's committee approach in the backfield dictated the action and prevailed with the Panthers coming off another exceptional effort from the offensive line.

The Commanders outgained the Panthers for 214 yards on the ground with 5.8 yards per carry. Robinson found his way into the end zone during his 17 touches. Austin Ekeler and Jeremy McNichols also contributed, a formula Kingsbury should stick to if No. 2 LSU can't keep up next weekend.

Washington has found the right mix in the running back room this offseason. Everything is going according to plan so far, but some adjustments will need to be made if Daniels has to miss time due to his rib injury.
