New Delhi: The national capital Delhi was rocked by an explosion on Sunday morning, October 20th. The blast occurred at the CRPF school in Delhi's Rohini area. The impact of the explosion damaged the school wall, but no injuries were reported. Teams from Delhi Police Special Cell and Forensic Department arrived at the spot to search for clues and collect samples as part of the investigation process.

“I was on the terrace when I heard a high intensity explosion. The whole house shook. “I had never seen smoke like that before,” said an eyewitness.

A team of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and personnel of the National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) arrived at the site of the blast in front of the CRPF school in Prashant Vihar area of ​​Rohini.

National Security Guard (NSG) commandos were also on site to assist in the investigation.

No conclusive statement has been made yet as to what caused the explosion near the school and authorities, including the special branch, are investigating the matter, Delhi Police officials said, while Delhi Police PRO Sanjay Tyagi said , that a loud explosion was reported this (Sunday). “The police team quickly reached the spot where they smelled a foul smell and found broken windows and glass on the school premises. Senior officers along with experts from the forensic department, crime team and special cell are conducting the investigation,” Tyagi said.

According to the preliminary reports, the material used in the blast resembles a simple bomb, but the details will be clear after receiving full reports, Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) sources said.

The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team will provide final clarity, sources said. No injuries were reported, but nearby businesses' glass windows were broken and a parked car was damaged, police confirmed. The area was cordoned off.

With the festive season and Diwali just around the corner, Delhi has been put on high alert and the police have increased security in the city.
