Siri Dahl hosts “Corn Telethon” to raise awareness of Project 2025

Today, porn actress Siri Dahl is hosting an old-fashioned telethon aptly named the Corn Telethon. The 12-hour livestream – named after the censored word for “porn” among social media users – will be “silly” and safe for work, featuring entertainers from both the adult world and beyond.

The announcement of the telethon compares it to telethons of yesteryear, such as those hosted by comedian Jerry Lewis. The stream is a fundraiser. All profits go to the Sex Workers Outreach Project Los Angeles, the Sex Workers Mutual Aid Collective Vegas, and to fund a grant to support journalism covering sex worker issues. In addition, Corn Telethon will raise awareness of Project 2025, the right-wing political wish list for Trump should he win the presidential election. One of the measures is to ban pornography and send those who produce it to prison.

The fundraising appeal came about because Dahl and podcaster Alex Steed recognized that politicians who oppose Project 2025 are not talking about this particular threat, according to the announcement – and that many politicians are also not speaking out about the broader threats facing sex workers today are exposed.

“Because we lacked elected officials brave enough to take this stand, we enlisted the help of friends in the entertainment industry (both people with backgrounds in the porn industry and mainstream entertainers) to raise awareness “To raise awareness of dangerous topics by telling jokes and singing songs, offering gifts and having fun, just like the entertainers we saw on screens as children growing up in the television age,” says the Corn Telethon website .
