Steph Curry lost his temper after SVP trolled him about the Panthers

It's not easy being a Carolina Panthers fan right now. The franchise is in one of the worst positions you can be in after trading a ton of picks to get a quarterback at No. 1 and because that QB isn't working out. Bryce Young's struggles in his second season led to him being benched for Andy Dalton, who was benched at the end of their recent loss to the Commanders to give Young some reps. Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears are thriving thanks largely to the players they drafted (most notably Caleb Williams) and the many picks Carolina sent them to move up and acquire Young.

There's no clear path for the Panthers to get out of the hole they've dug for themselves, and that means they'll have to spend at least another year or two at the bottom of the NFL before they fill their roster with top-tier talent can. As a fan, this is a really difficult situation, but there are still a lot of die-hard Carolina fans who are doing their best to stay loyal to the team during a really difficult time in their franchise history.

One of them is Stephen Curry, who sticks with his Panthers through thick and thin, and on Monday night the Warriors star sat down with Scott Van Pelt for a halftime interview on Monday Night Football before the start of the NBA season. At the end of their discussion, Steph had to call out his beloved panthers, to which Van Pelt could only respond with “Good luck with that,” causing Steph to completely burst out laughing.

It was a great reaction from SVP, who is well versed in athlete interviews, and it clearly wasn't what Steph was expecting after a “Go Panthers!” But that was really the only thing you could say. The good news for Steph is that now that the Warriors' season is underway, he has a lot to focus on at work to distract from his Panthers struggles.
