Tom Hardy has no regrets about how Venom 3 ends Eddie Brock's story

This article covers a developing story. Keep checking in with us as we will add more information as it becomes available.

Tom Hardy teases the satisfying conclusion to Eddie Brock and his Marvel story Venom: The Last Dance. While time will tell what awaits Sony's Spider-Man universe after 2024, the character that brought the franchise to life is ending his run with Venom: The Last Dancewith Eddie and the symbiote on one final adventure. After the events of his cameo appearance Spider-Man: No Way HomeThe Poison Threequel will meet Eddie again in his own universe before he deals with a new threat stalking him and the symbiote.

Screen rant recently interviewed Hardy and Venom: The Last Dance Director Kelly Marcel on the third and final part of the antihero series. When Hardy was asked if he regretted anything he didn't do during his time with Venom or if everything he wanted to explore was included in it Venom: The Last DanceThe actor shared that he has no regrets about how he completes his journey with the Marvel icon, sharing the following:

Tom Hardy: Everything in the kitchen sink that we wanted to devote time to is in this film. This is the purest version of Kelly and I together, like making an offer, a harvest of optionality within a character's wheelhouse and the opening through which we wanted to get into the tone we want to set and build on. We encourage ourselves to continue on this path because you can always tone things down, but it's very hard to go big and show, “Okay, let's take some risks here.” It's easier to say, “Let's take fewer of these.” ” than saying, “Can you address this?”

In that respect, everything you see in The Last Dance is a product of Kelly's imagination, and mine too. But nothing is left out. It is surgically selected and carried out, right down to the shots. It is a complete reflection of the inner process of someone who cares deeply about the work. And let me also emphasize that this is her first film (that she directed), and on that level, her first job, first day, technically and symbolically, it's overwhelming. That's why I'm really proud of you (to Kelly Marcel).

Since the release of the first film in 2018 Venom was the most popular character in Sony's Spider-Man universe and the only player to financially benefit Sony Pictures. Although Hardy has a good track record, his comments on the Venom: The Last Dance The story and its seeming finality make sense, especially given the creative role he has played in Eddie's story over the years. It can be very easy for major Hollywood studios to push certain characteristics beyond their expectations, which can ultimately harm the main character's overall story.

However Venom: The Last Dance deals with Eddie's character arc, It sounds like Hardy is happy and content to use this film as a proper ending point after spending an entire trilogy developing Brock and his alien ally. Even if there are more symbiote stories after that Venom: The Last Dance This can be explored, but they can also refer to characters other than Eddie – although the approach also depends on whether Sony's Spider-Man universe develops at all in 2025 and beyond.

Time will tell how audiences react to the direction Venom: The Last Dance goes, It's exciting to know that Hardy was able to bring everything he wanted for the Venom story into this film before seemingly ending his time with the character. Whether Eddie will ever return to Sony's Spider-Man universe for other storylines centered around new characters remains to be seen. But for now, the world can look forward to the finale of the trilogy Venom: The Last Dance.
