Below freezing temperatures are possible in parts of Western Washington on Wednesday

For the first time this season, subfreezing temperatures are possible Tuesday evening as skies remain clear into early Wednesday morning.

Tuesday brings lots of afternoon sun and cool temperatures. Maximum temperatures remain a few degrees below average.

Rainfall has been consistent but not plentiful over the past eight days. Monday brought 0.20 inches of rain, the heaviest rainfall in this section. Seattle is still behind this month. The average rainfall in October is 3.91 inches.

A freeze watch is in effect from this evening until early Wednesday morning. Freezing temperatures are possible in the Cascade foothills and parts of southern Puget Sound and the southwest Interior.

Wednesday and Thursday will bring partly cloudy skies with cool high temperatures. It will rain again on Friday evening and the weekend, and there is a chance of snow at the top of the pass on Sunday.
