INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Expect an up and down temperature trend for the rest of this week with the possibility of some rain later this week.

Tuesday evening: Scattered showers will continue to be possible, especially north of I-70, into the early morning hours. Temperatures will only drop to the mid 50s overnight as winds remain breezy.

Wednesday: We expect a dry front to move through tomorrow. The only noticeable change that will take place is a shift in the wind. The wind comes from the northwest. Overall, enjoy a mostly sunny, windy and dry Wednesday as temperatures rise to the low to mid 70s.

Thursday: On Thursday, temperatures will fall closer to normal for this time of year. It will be a fantastic fall day with mostly sunny skies and light winds. Highs are expected to climb into the mid to upper 60s.

7 day forecast: We briefly warm up to the 70s to end the work week on Friday. Spotted to isolated rain is possible on Friday and will continue into early Saturday. Prepare for a cooler weekend as highs are expected to remain in the low 60s on Saturday and Sunday. The above normal temperature trend returns quickly next week as highs return to the 70s in dry conditions. Signals point to the potential for more active weather towards the middle to end of next week, but until then there is much uncertainty.
