Dave Portnoy reacts to Zach Bryan and Brianna Chickenfry's breakup

Dave Portnoy seems less than impressed by it Zach Bryan after the country singer broke up with her Barstool Sports Podcaster Brianna La Paglia (aka Brianna Chickenfry).

After the couple confirmed their split via social media on Tuesday, October 22, Portnoy, 47, co-hosted the podcast “BFFs” alongside LaPaglia, 25, and the TikTok influencer. Josh Richards – decided to get involved with a special offer Taylor Swift Song.

“I dedicate this to @BChickenfry,” he wrote Tuesday on X featuring Swift's hit “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.”

The track can be heard on Swift's The Tortured Poets Department album and is rumored to be about her previous relationship with The 1975 frontman Matty Healy.

“And I don't even want you back, I just want to know if the goal was to rust my glittering summer,” the pop star sings in the song. “And I don't miss what we had, but could someone give a message to the smallest man who ever lived?”

On Tuesday morning, Bryan, 28, confirmed via Instagram that his romantic relationship with LaPaglia was over.

“Brianna and I have separated and I respect and love her with all my heart,” he wrote in a statement. “She loved me unconditionally for a very long time and I will always thank her for that.”

“I’ve had an incredibly tough year personally and have had to go through some pretty bad things,” Bryan continued. “I thought it would be beneficial for both of us if we went different ways. I’m not perfect and never will be.”

While the country singer requested privacy for himself and his ex, LaPaglia raised some eyebrows with her own social media post about the breakup.

“I feel really blindsided right now,” she wrote on her Instagram Story on Tuesday. “I'm going to stay away from social media for a while and try to heal privately. When I'm ready, I'll be back and ready to talk. I love you so much. Thank you for all your kind words. Remember that you are so loved and that everything will always be okay.”

LaPaglia first confirmed that she was dating Bryan in July 2023 after the two met at the 2023 Academy of Country Music Awards.

They took a big step in their relationship with their red carpet debut at the Grammy Awards in February.
