Andy Dalton, family involved in Charlotte car crash during Panthers QB scare

According to a, Andy Dalton and his family were involved in a car accident on Tuesday Reporting from WSOC-TV Charlotte.

The Panthers quarterback was in the car with his wife Jordan, three children and a dog when they crashed in south Charlotte.

No one in the car was transported by paramedics, the outlet reported.

The Panthers confirmed the incident and told WSOC-TV that Dalton was being evaluated by team personnel.

Dalton, a 14-year NFL veteran, took over for the struggling Bryce Young as the Panthers' starting quarterback in Week 3.

In six games (five starts) this season, Dalton has thrown for 989 yards with seven touchdowns and six interceptions.

The Panthers won their first and only game of the season in Dalton's first start of 2024 on September 22, defeating the Raiders 36-22.

Otherwise, it was a miserable season for Carolina, which at 1:6 has the worst record in the NFL along with the Patriots and Browns.

The Panthers were defeated by the Commanders 40-7 on Sunday.

The 36-year-old Dalton had perhaps his worst game of the season in that game, throwing two interceptions, no touchdowns and passing for just 93 yards through the air.

Before Tuesday's scary news, Carolina head coach Dave Canales confirmed that Dalton would be the team's starting quarterback when it faces the Broncos in Week 8 on Sunday.
