Sand in My Boots Fest Cast: Post Malone, T-Pain, Diplo, 3 Doors Down and more joining Morgan Wallen

Morgan Wallen promised he would bring “some good friends” to his Sand in My Boots festival in Gulf Shores in spring 2025, and now we know who they are.

The event's lineup, released Monday, includes Wallen, Post Malone, Brooks & Dunn, HARDY, Riley Green, Bailey Zimmerman, T-Pain, Diplo, Wiz Khalifa, The War on Drugs, 2 Chainz, Chase Rice, Three 6 Mafia, 3 Among others, Doors Down, Ella Langley, ERNEST, Morgan Wade and Moneybagg Yo.

Another big piece of news was announced Monday: Residents will receive 24-hour advance ticket sales starting Thursday, October 24 at 10 a.m. CDT with insider information on tickets. Tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, October 25th at 10 a.m. CDT, also via www.sandinmybootsfest.com

Hangout Music Fest organizers announced Oct. 17 that something different would be coming to Gulf Shores May 16-18 thanks to a new partnership with Wallen, who has released two record-breaking blockbuster country albums in recent years . They described Sand in My Boots as a year-long takeover of Hangout Fest, an event that would use the same location and feature the same festival producers but feature a three-day program curated by Wallen.

This sparked some concern among Hangout Fest fans that the festival as they knew it was dead. Reeves Price, producer of AEG Presents' Hangout Festival, said Hangout is “not going anywhere and will return to Gulf Shores in 2026.”

“Partnering with Morgan Wallen on the Sand in My Boots Festival in 2025 is an incredibly special opportunity and we are excited to bring his vision to life,” said Price.

The line-up announced on Monday confirms the promise of a multi-genre event. While it features a much larger country component than any previous Hangout Fest, some of the acts featured would have fit well into any Hangout program. Some on the bill are hangout veterans – the best example being Post Malone, who was the opening day headliner in 2022. Since then, Malone has made a highly successful transition from pop to country with the album F-1 Trillion, which features “I Had Some Help,” a hit single duet with Wallen.

Rapper T-Pain also performed at the Hangout in 2022. Wiz Khalifa was there in 2014 and 2 Chainz performed in 2017. Electronic dance music DJ Diplo has performed at least twice, in 2019 and 2024. He is also part of the ensemble Major Lazer, which performed in 2015 and 2017. Indie-pop band Future Islands is another act returning to Gulf Shores.

Organizers say the acts are all “hand-picked from Wallen’s personal playlist” and that “For the first time, Wallen is bringing together artists from different genres to perform in the same line-up, breaking barriers while ensuring fans expect the unexpected with surprise artists “Collaborations all weekend long.”
