Tom Holland is joining Christopher Nolan's next film

Tom Holland will star in Christopher Nolan's latest feature film, joining Matt Damon on the top-secret project.

Nolan wrote the screenplay and is directing the project, which Universal Pictures will distribute. The studio has set a release date of July 17, 2026.

Plot details are being kept under wraps, but sources say the setting is not current (though it's unclear whether it takes place in the past or the future).

Nolan is producing alongside his producing partner and wife Emma Thomas for their Syncopy banner.

The new feature film reunites Nolan with the studio that produced his drama Oppenheimer and brought him to his first Oscars. He won the Best Director award and received the Best Picture award as a producer on the film, which grossed a staggering $976 million worldwide.

Oppenheimer marked the filmmaker's first time working with Universal, a relationship forged after Nolan publicly parted ways with his longtime home Warner Bros. in late 2020 Oppenheimer According to sources, Universal's new project was auctioned off at an open auction and eventually went straight to the studio.
