“Malcolm in the Middle” star Frankie Muniz to become a 2025 NASCAR Truck Series driver | News, results, highlights, statistics and rumors

Actor Frankie Muniz will drive full-time for Reaume Brothers Racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series beginning in the 2025 season.

“I am incredibly excited to be joining Reaume Brothers Racing full-time in 2025,” he said in Tuesday’s announcement. “My long-standing relationship with Ford has been a game changer, and I am thrilled to help facilitate additional support that will allow us to leverage their exceptional technical and engineering resources. I am confident that this synergy will propel Reaume Brothers Racing forward and help us achieve great things together. I can't wait to get started.

Muniz, who played the lead role Malcolm in the middlemade two starts this year. He placed 31st at the Rackley Roofing 200 in June and 29th at the Kubota Tractor 200 last month.

He also competed in two NASCAR Xfinity Series events and failed to qualify for the Pacific Office Automation 147 in June.

The 38-year-old first announced in January 2023 that he would become a full-time driver to fulfill a lifelong dream.

Muniz signed with Save Jones Racing to compete in the ARCA Menards Series. He ended up finishing fourth for the season with a top-five finish and 11 top-10 finishes in 18 appearances.

Competing full-time on the Truck Series circuit will be a big step up in his budding motorsports career.

“I want people to know that I have literally dedicated my life to this issue. Do you know what I mean?” he said, via People'S Ingrid Vasquez and Chris Barilla. “I love it. When I'm not in the race car, I think about being in the race car. I'm training, I'm in the simulator at Ford, the Ford Performance Technical Center. I'm working.” I'm going to do everything I can with my engineers, my crew chiefs and the team by watching videos and watching past races on the tracks to be as prepared as possible.

Muniz will compete in the Baptist Health 200, the next stop on the Truck Series schedule. The green flag will be lowered at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
