This year's pop Even as we head into 2025, the girls' adoption isn't slowing down. Barcelona's Primavera Sound music festival will return next June with headlining performances from the genre's new leaders: Charli XCX, Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter.

From June 5th to 7th, the Parc del Fòrum will host performances by 147 artists. The newly announced lineup includes LCD Soundsystem, FKA Twigs, HAIM, Jamie xx, Fontaines DC, Beach House, IDLES, Clairo, Turnstile, Sturgill Simpson, ANOHNI and the Johnsons, MJ Lenderman, Aminé, Magdalena Bay and Waxahatchee.

The dozens of other artists set to perform include Floating Points, Stereolab, Cat Power playing Dylan, Idles, Frost Children, Been Stellar, Beabadoobee, Denzel Curry, Jamie XX, Stereolab, the Dare, Wet Leg, This Is Lorelei and more .

Tickets for Primavera Sound 2025 will be available from October 28th via the official Primavera Sound website. Registration is now open.

FKA Twigs was scheduled to perform at Primavera Sound 2023 and 2024, but withdrew from both appearances. However, the musician is planning to release her third studio album. Eusexua, in January. The announcement of LCD Soundsystem's performance came just days after the group premiered their first song in two years, “X-Ray Eyes,” on a British radio show. The record is still not available for streaming.

Charli XCX performed at Primavera Sound earlier this year, a week before she released the blockbuster album brat. She has since expanded the record to include the 17-track remix album Brat and it's completely different, but still Brat. And while a monoculture formed around her album, Chappell Roan experienced a similar breakthrough with the music of her debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. The trio was rounded out by Sabrina Carpenter premiering her hit single “Espresso” at Coachella in April, and the rest is history. Her sixth studio album, Short and sweet, arrived in August, packed with even more hits.
