Actor Zachary Levi Encourages 'Hidden Conservatives' in Hollywood to Speak Out: 'It's Now or Never'

Actor Zachary Levi encouraged Hollywood's “hidden conservatives” to speak out publicly after supporting former President Trump.

During an Instagram Live video on Sunday, the 44-year-old “Shazam” star addressed “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg's claim that Hollywood is a “right-wing town” where “very few people apparently nitpicking because they're Republicans.

Levi disputed her comments, pointing out that among the thousands working in Hollywood today, she could only cite actors Jon Voight and Dennis Quaid as examples. He added that actors like her only seem to come out as Republicans at a certain stage in their careers in order to get away with it.

“And that means that there are a lot of – and by the way, they've sent me a lot of messages – a lot of people in my industry in Hollywood who are afraid to say publicly that they're voting for Donald Trump or that they're conservative in any way would. Levi said. “That's why you don't see them. That's why they're not very common or prominent because they know there are consequences for this kind of shit.”

Levi pushed back against fears of an industry backlash by arguing that the industry is “hollowed out” after the pandemic lockdowns and recent writer and actor strikes, and predicted it will soon be “f—gonzo.” become.

“So, anyway, my call to all of you out there, you secretive conservatives, you secretive Trump voters, all of you, it's now or never, you know what I mean?” Levi said. “Do whatever you want to do. If you have to come out publicly and say it, if you feel like you still can't do it, then don't do it. I would never pressure you to do this, but you should know that what you're afraid of is somehow the backlash from an industry that's not going to exist any time soon, so don't let that hold you back.”

Levi supported Trump during an event for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard in September. He explained how he initially supported RFK Jr. and then switched his support in favor of Trump after RFK Jr. suspended his campaign.

“In a perfect world, whatever that would be, I might have voted for Bobby,” Levi said. “But we don’t live in a perfect world. In fact, we live in a very broken world. We live in a country that has been hijacked by many people who want to take this place far off the cliff, and we are here to stop that.”
