Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Tennessee Volunteers: Second Half Open Thread

Talk about an odd half. It was a terrible start for Alabama's offense and defense, but a long-range fumble gave Alabama extra possession that they couldn't do anything with.

Jalen Milroe had a lot of trouble with accuracy as he repeatedly targeted Ryan Williams and ended up getting picked off in the end zone.

Tennessee then missed a field goal and the Tide drove downfield for a score and retaliated with another back-shoulder fade to Williams in the end zone.

Alabama's defense forced two more turnovers, and the offense failed both times, struggling to get the ball in time.

The Tide defense once again stood strong and forced another long field goal, but it was missed.

Alabama's offense once again failed to capitalize on the advantage, faltering again and missing a long field goal to end the half.

The Tide defense had by far its best performance in four weeks, although it did have a few close moments early in the game with some narrowly missed deep balls. However, the offense is probably having its worst half of the season as Milroe struggles with accuracy and the entire OL struggles with snap timing.

The Vols' three turnovers gave Alabama a lot of space that it never really took advantage of.

We hope they can find something offensively and keep up the defensive pressure in the second half.
