Alabama football injury report: Update on Kendrick Law after Georgia game

Alabama football eked out a narrow victory on Saturday, fending off a furious fourth-quarter comeback attempt by Georgia to claim a 41-34 victory at Bryant-Denny Stadium. However, the Crimson Tide had one of their top wide receivers leave the game with an injury.

Kendrick Law left the game limping and did not return. After the game, Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer said Law suffered a “lower body injury” but could not elaborate on how long he would keep the junior out.

“I don’t know what he’s going to be,” DeBoer said. “But it's unfortunate because I thought he really had a great week or two of training and was building a lot more as well. He was really excited before the game.”

Law had one catch for 19 yards on Saturday. He is also one of the Crimson Tide's best run blockers.

DeBoer praised Law's performance before leaving the game.

“I thought he did a good job just helping our offense,” DeBoer said. “Maybe there are things that don’t show up in the statistics, but unfortunately he couldn’t be with us the whole game.”

Alabama led 30-7 at halftime, but the Bulldogs came roaring back and claimed a lead late in the fourth quarter. But a circus deep catch for a touchdown by wide receiver Ryan Williams and an interception by Zabien Brown sealed the victory late.

The Crimson Tide travels to Vanderbilt next Saturday.
