It's time for the Final Four in October.

First pitch of the League Championship Series in the Major League Baseball playoffs is just days away.

Two teams have secured their place in the LCS, both from New York. The New York Mets were the first to advance, winning their Division Series game against the Philadelphia Phillies on Wednesday. They will soon travel to California for the National League Championship Series, where they will face the winner of Game 5 between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres.

In the American League, the New York Yankees eliminated the Kansas City Royals on Thursday and advanced. They host either the Cleveland Guardians or Detroit Tigers, with the winner of Saturday's deciding Game 5 advancing to the American League Championship Series.

The Championship Series features a best-of-seven format in which the higher seed has home advantage for Games 1, 2 and, if necessary, 6 and 7.
