In a postseason where outs are becoming increasingly difficult to come by, the New York Yankees only need 27 of them to reach the World Series.

The Yankees and Guardians meet Saturday night in Game 5 of the American League Championship Series, with New York leading 3-1 and facing Game 1 winner Carlos Rodón, facing Cleveland's Tanner Bibee, in the decider.

But the game will almost certainly come down to the bullpens. The Yankees torched Cleveland closer Emmanuel Clase in consecutive games, but only won one of them as their own ninth-inning man, Luke Weaver, was struck out in Game 3. He should be available on Saturday night, perhaps to be gobbled up by his teammates afterward to win the pennant.

Cleveland would prefer to have a plane back to New York, where Game 6 will be played on Monday night – if necessary.
