Aldi is offering Thanksgiving dinner for families at a discounted price

This year's price is lower than the store's offering price in 2019.

ALDI has announced plans to sell Thanksgiving dinner ingredients at a record $47, the company's lowest price in five years.

ALDI's 2024 Thanksgiving Bundle will allow shoppers to feed 10 people for less than $47, the company announced Wednesday. That's less than $4.70 per person and lower than the store's asking price in 2019.

According to ALDI, the prices are valid from Wednesday, October 16th to Wednesday, November 27th. This year Thanksgiving is on Thursday, November 28th.

The company's Thanksgiving basket shopping list includes a 16-pound Butterball turkey with seasonings, gravy, rolls, macaroni and cheese, stuffing, and ingredients for cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie.

“Grocery prices for hundreds of items are reportedly up 50% across the industry compared to 2019, and shoppers are getting welcome relief on their favorite Thanksgiving meals at ALDI,” the company wrote in the press release.

“At ALDI, we focus every day on finding ways to offer our customers the lowest prices possible – and this Thanksgiving is no different,” ALDI CEO Jason Hart said in the release. “With 25% of U.S. households now shopping at ALDI, we know that grocery prices are still a top priority for customers. We've worked hard this Thanksgiving to deliver the best value and quality products so everyone can enjoy a traditional meal with family and friends without the need to scale back.

The company also said it plans to open 800 more stores over the next five years.

Next year, at-home food prices are expected to rise by 0.8%, while food away from home prices could rise by 3.1%.
