Are you a 'brat'? Charli XCX is doing a surprise event in Upstate NY

Are you “Brat”? Or are you “brat and it’s totally different but still brat”?

Charli Neon green billboards have been popping up around the world announcing collaborations with artists like Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Troye Sivan, Robyn, Bon Iver and The 1975, but the Hudson Valley could get the first chance to hear the album.

“Nyyyyyyy, I want to play you my new album. Should we go upstairs?” Charli wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, along with a link to charlixcx.com/rsvp.

Fans 18 and older can register for an unspecified event taking place on Thursday, October 10th at 3 p.m. at the Storm King Art Center in New Windsor, NY. According to the website, participation does not guarantee participation; Emails will be sent to confirmed guests.

A source told the Times Union that the event will include a listening party for Charli XCX's new remix album, officially titled “Brat and it's completely different but also still brat.” It's unclear whether the Grammy-nominated English pop singer will also perform.

Charli XCX has released eight albums since 2013, and her latest became a pop culture phenomenon with memes about “Brat Summer.” Her hits include “Apple,” “360,” “Guess,” “Boom Clap,” “1999,” “Good Ones” and the “Barbie” soundtrack contribution “Speed Drive,” as well as collaborations with artists such as Icona Pop (“I Love It”), Iggy Azalea (“Fancy”), Tiesto (“Hot In It”) and Rita Ora (“Girls”).

According to Rolling Stone, Charli Thursday's event takes place between concerts scheduled in Dallas on Wednesday and Denver on Friday.
