'Art the Clown' actor explains the scene in 'Terrifier 3' that he almost couldn't handle

We spoke to the actor David Howard Thornton in the midst of the release of horror 3the acclaimed new installment from director Damien Leone, which features Art the Clown's bloodiest kills to date. In fact, Thornton – who plays the art – is tasked with carrying out such a terrible act Even he had to admit how disgusted he waswhich confirms to us that this latest film in the series contains by far the worst murders.




“There is an infamous moment that happened towards the end of the film That really grossed me out, and that's one thing I just can't handle in real lifeThornton told MovieWeb. “And Damien knew that, I think He definitely put that in just to really piss me off on set. And then it was just the environment that I was in that just made it worse because we were in a hot, smelly house at that point, and then Samantha (Scaffidi), who played Victoria, came in and ate this horrible smelling bag of corn nuts. This just made things even more upset.

The worst thing the clown has ever done

Thornton continued with the film's epic kill moment, which we won't spoil here:

“Besides, I think what’s involved with this murder is just terrible. And I'm just a very empathetic person in that moment, “This is such a terrible, terrible thing to actually do to a human being.”
I think it's one of the worst things I've ever seen Art do. And that says a lot.
But I mean, for me, I just thought, 'This is morbid.'”

Lauren LaVerawho plays the main heroine Sienna in the latest episodes, also took part in the interview and shared her excitement about getting back into the saga horror 3. “I actually love horror films and intense films, so there were no concerns about getting back into the story” she told us. “I really love Sienna and I really love her journey.” I was really excited to sink my teeth into some of the places she was able to go given her mental state. So I did a lot of research into it and was really excited to help continue to tell her story.”
