Grigor Dimitrov vs. Tommy Paul

Head to head: Dimitrov 1-1 Paul

Dimitrov had to work hard in the semi-final and weather the storm from Tallon Griekspoor. Griekspoor was almost unplayable in the first set and gave Dimitrov no chance to get into the game. But Dimitrov capitalized on his experience and made an inspiring start to the second set, and from then on he seemed to be in control. The Bulgarian is having a great year and it all started with a title in Brisbane earlier in the year. This is Dimitrov's fourth final at the Stockholm Open and he will look to end the two-match losing streak here in the final.

Paul ended Stan Wawrinka's inspiring run and reached his second final in Stockholm. Paul recovered brilliantly and made Wawrinka move from side to side. Paul has become incredibly consistent and with his incredible moves and solid backhand he is one of the hardest players to beat on the ATP Tour. The American is having the best year of his career and is looking to win his third title of the season.

This is a big final for both players as they are still in the race to qualify for the Nitto ATP Finals. It is also the fourth tour level final of the year for both of them. There are a lot of similarities between these two when it comes to being quick on their feet and defending brilliantly from corners. Both play varied and like to come to the net at every opportunity. Dimitrov has a better serve and forehand, while Paul has a more reliable backhand and more variety on his second serve. Dimitrov played a tough game in the semi-final and Paul will be the fresher player.

Prediction: Paul in 3
