The Cleveland Guardians kept their season alive with a thrilling 7-5 comeback win in Game 3 of the ALCS against the New York Yankees, thanks to some convincing home runs from Jhonkensy Noel and David Fry.

Austin Hedges also played a crucial role after getting the start for Bo Naylor, who was 0 for 14 at the plate to start the game and had five wild pitches behind the plate in Game 2, most of which were his fault. and Hedges had a double and a walk while playing a strong defensive game before sending everyone a message after the win.

Leah Doherty of the Cleveland 19 News shared a clip from Hedges' postgame media session, and the catcher was speechless while talking about his team, saying, “I don't know. This team is special, man. This team is special. I probably have to process this for a while and then try to come back here and win a game tomorrow.”

Hedges may have earned another start with his solid performance on Thursday, and his reaction when asked about the win was extremely understandable.

The team seemed dead and buried after Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton hit back-to-back home runs against Emmanuel Clase in the eighth inning, but Jhonkensy Noel and David Fry hit season-changing, game-winning home runs in the 9th and 10th innings, to bring the series to 2-1.

Hedges provided good stability behind the plate and fought at the plate in a way fans aren't used to seeing him, and he was definitely right after the game.

This team is special.
