Baba Siddique suffered two bullet wounds and succumbed despite all efforts: Doctors at Lilavati Hospital

Dr. Jalil Parkar, a doctor at Lilavati Hospital, said, “Around 9.30 pm, Baba Siddique was brought here. When he arrived at the emergency room, his pulse and blood pressure were unmeasurable and the EKG showed a flat line. We moved him to the intensive care unit.”

“He was pronounced dead at around 11.27pm. He had gunshot wounds in the chest,” added Dr. Parkar added.

Dr. Nitin Gokhale, a cardiologist at the hospital, said the exact number of bullets would be confirmed after a post-mortem.

“Baba Siddique was admitted with no pulse and no blood pressure. He had two gunshot wounds in the chest. We initiated emergency resuscitation measures and took him to the intensive care unit. He was pronounced dead at 11:27 p.m. The total number of bullets will be confirmed after the autopsy,” said Dr. Gokhale told reporters.

Dr. Describing the severity of Siddique's condition on arrival, Niraj Uttamani of Lilavati Hospital said, “He was brought to the emergency services in an unresponsive state, with no pulse, no cardiac activity and no blood pressure, with a history of gunshots.” He had lost a lot of blood and resuscitation was immediately instituted. He was then transferred to the intensive care unit, where further resuscitation attempts were made.

“Despite our best efforts, we were unable to revive him and he was declared dead at 11.27pm,” he added.
