Bad Boys actress Theresa Randle was arrested on assault charges in Los Angeles

Theresa Randle was arrested in Los Angeles on Monday on aggravated assault charges following an incident last weekend.

The 59-year-old actress is known for appearing as Theresa Burnett in the Bad Boys franchise before her character was replaced last year in 2023.

Police told TMZ on Thursday that officers were called to an LA-area home on Saturday, October 5, regarding a suspected assault, but Randle had already left the scene when he arrived.

Just two days later, police were called again for an alleged domestic violence incident and restraining order violation at the same home.

When police arrived, Theresa was on scene — and was arrested for aggravated assault in connection with the Oct. 5 incident, according to TMZ.

Theresa was uncooperative with officers at the time of arrest and booking.

And on Wednesday, the star went to court – but the district attorney specifically rejected the case, law enforcement authorities told the medium.

Randle has appeared in various projects throughout her career, including Beverly Hills Cop III (1994), Bad Boys (1995) and Space Jam (1996).

Last year in May, it was announced that her character in the Bad Boys franchise had been replaced by actress Tasha Smith and that she would not be appearing in Bad Boys 4, Variety had reported.

She portrayed Theresa – the wife of Martin Lawrence's character Marcus Burnett – and spoke about her role and relationship with Lawrence and Will Smith's characters in an interview last 2020, according to the Los Angeles Times.

“She still laughs at both of them because they want to be so grown up and mature,” Randle explained.

“It's still the same Mike (Will Smith) and Marcus that she always knew.” And she still has to get in the way. Nothing has really changed.'

The fourth part of the series, Bad Boys: Ride Or Die, was officially released at the beginning of June this year – and grossed around $400 million at the box office worldwide.

In addition to Tasha Smith, other stars took on roles in the film, including Will Smith, Martin Lawrence and Vanessa Hudgens.

It was announced at the time that Randle had been replaced in Bad Boys 4 – she was also seen in a video at Skid Row in Los Angeles, which alarmed fans.

In shots posted to Instagram, the actress looked “smaller” than in previous sightings and appeared to be sitting in a walker.

Roger Neal, Randle's former manager and publicist, confirmed that the video was of his ex-client and said it had caused “concern” for her well-being.

“That's definitely her.” “100 percent,” Neal told RadarOnline.

Neal represented Randle about a decade ago, and although he had received inquiries on her behalf, he does not have any current contact information for the actress, including an email address or phone number for her.

In the video, Randle can be seen chatting with locals on the street wearing a Disneyland sweater, baseball cap and disposable gloves.

Neal couldn't say for sure whether Randle was homeless or just visiting the area.

A woman who claimed to have been at the scene when the video clip was recorded explained the encounter and said Randle was on Skid Row in Downtown, Los Angeles, helping the community.

“For the thousandth time, she wasn’t in a wheelchair. “She was on a walker due to a broken femur and was downtown helping the Skid Row community,” they explained on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“I'm the young lady you hear her talking to in the background, as is my nephew.” “People are so rude and always judge without knowing the situation.”
