“Big money” winning Powerball ticket sold in New York

It was another lucky night for lottery players in New York State.

The New York State Lottery announced that a “big money” winning ticket from last night's Powerball drawing was sold in the state.

This ticket matched four out of five numbers and also featured the Powerball, meaning it won 3rd place of $50,000.

The New York State Lottery also announced that 27 4th place tickets were sold in New York. Each of these tickets won $100.

Monday's winning Powerball numbers were: 1-25-57-62-64 with a Powerball value of 15.

There was no grand prize winner in last night's drawing, making Wednesday's drawing a record-breaking drawing for New York State. The current jackpot of $478 million would be the largest lottery jackpot ever won by a New Yorker if someone from New York won the top prize.

The current Powerball jackpot is $2 million higher than the current New York State lottery jackpot record. The current record was set in April 2023 when Johnnie Taylor won the Mega Millions.

6. 202 million dollars

A group of players playing under an LLC called 1937 Flatbush Ave Dodgers LLC won the Powerball prize on June 1, 2011.

5. 208 million dollars

Daniel Bruckner won the Mega Millions jackpot in December 2011 with just over $200 million.

4. $319 million

Seven colleagues from Albany withdrew their money and had the winning ticket for the Mega Millions. In 2011, they took home $319 million.

3. $326 million

Harold Diamond held the record for the largest lottery jackpot in New York for seven years. He won the Mega Millions jackpot in 2014.

2. 432 million dollars

This Mega Millions winning ticket was sold in September 2021. The NY Lottery does not know who the ticket belongs to.

1. 476 million dollars

Johnnie Taylor won the jackpot in the April 2023 Mega Millions drawing.
