Bob Costas is facing anger from MLB fans over the Royals' strange doubleheader against the Yankees

The Royals pulled out a huge 4-2 win over the Yankees on Monday night to even their series as they head to Kansas City for the next two games.

The Royals did all their damage in the fourth inning, scoring all four runs against Yankees starter Carlos Rodon. They then held off the Yankees the rest of the way and secured the victory.

One of the biggest plays came in the bottom of the eighth inning when the Royals were able to end it by converting a clutch double play on a ball hit short by Giancarlo Stanton.

Bob Costas worked on this series for TBS and his call for this big piece left a lot to be desired:

Stanton has been dealing with some injuries, but it seemed like this call should have been a little more forceful while also praising the Royals for getting it done.
