Broncos WR Josh Reynolds scored twice after leaving the strip club

According to a report from 9News' Janet Oravetz, Denver Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds was shot twice on October 18 after leaving Shotgun Willie's strip club in Glendale, Colorado.

Reynolds, 29, and two other men were chased and shot at by several strip club vehicles. Reynolds was shot in the arm and the back of the head. Another man was shot in the back and a third man was injured by the shattered class.

The three men were in a blue Ford Bronco at the time of the shooting. When their vehicle no longer wanted to move, they fled and climbed over a fence. Police responded to their emergency calls.

According to court documents obtained by 9News, the three victims said there were no incidents at the strip club leading up to the shooting.

Denver police announced Wednesday that Burr Charlesworth and Luis Mendoza were arrested in the case. Video footage showed Mendoza watching Reynolds and the two other men in the club and following them as they left. Three vehicles followed the victims as they drove away.

Reynolds is already on injured reserve with a finger injury. He was eligible to return from that injury in Week 10, but the wounds from that shootout could delay the receiver's potential return to the field.

Before going on IR, Reynolds had 12 receptions for 183 yards and a touchdown in five games this season. This spring, he signed a two-year, $9 million contract with the Broncos.

The team released the following statement on Thursday: “Josh Reynolds was the victim of a shooting in Denver on Friday and was treated for minor injuries. Out of respect for the legal process, we will leave further comment on this matter to the authorities.”
