Buckeyes Kickstart at Penn State Announced November 2nd

As in 2022, Ohio State and Penn State will begin at noon next month.

The No. 4 Buckeyes (5-1 overall, 2-1 Big Ten) and No. 3 Nittany Lions (6-0, 3-0) meet Nov. 2 in Happy Valley in a game that will likely There will be a conference impact on championship games.

The 2022 game will long be remembered – at least by OSU fans – as a JTT game.

On Penn State's first two drives, Buckeye defensive end JT Tuimoloau intercepted a pass and deflected another that a teammate intercepted. And in the fourth quarter, he recorded a strip sack and recovered the ensuing fumble. Later in the quarter, he intercepted another pass, which he ran in for a touchdown. His efforts in the final quarter helped Ohio State turn a short deficit into a loss. Trailing 21-16, the Buckeyes scored 28 points in six minutes and won 44-31.

For his efforts, JTT was named the Walter Camp Player of the Week as well as the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week.

OSU and Penn State have played some State College classics in recent years, including coach James Franklin's only win over the Buckeyes in 10 tries. In that 2016 thriller, the Nittany Lions outscored OSU 17-0 in the final quarter, including a touchdown after a blocked field goal, to win 24-21.

The November 2nd game will be shown on FOX.
