Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Chris Godwin suffered a serious leg injury in the final moments of Monday night's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Godwin was carried off the field with a blast of air over his left leg. For more serious injuries, an air cast is typically used to secure the limbs.

Godwin suffered the injury after making a catch and being thrown to the turf.

As Godwin lay on the grass, his left leg was turned the wrong way.

After medical personnel tended to Godwin and placed an air cast on his leg, his Buccaneers teammates were distraught as they surrounded him.

Tampa Bay quarterback Baker Mayfield was seen slamming his helmet into the turf in frustration over the injury.

After the Buccaneers' loss, footage emerged of Godwin unable to walk at all and being taken to the trainer's room.

Initial fears are that Godwin has dislocated his ankle and that the injury will likely end his season.

Godwin is also expected to be a free agent at the end of this season.

Baltimore defeated Tampa Bay 41-31, with the Ravens leaving almost all of their points unanswered through the dominance of Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry.

The Buccaneers had already lost top wide receiver Mike Evans to a leg injury early in the game.

Now, the Buccaneers will likely compete in the near future without their top two wide receivers, who are ranked second in the NFC South.

Godwin has spent his entire NFL career with the Buccaneers since entering the league in 2017.

Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles drew some criticism after the game for leaving one of his best players on the field with less than two minutes left even though his team couldn't win.
