BYU Basketball announces Justin Young as Director of Recruiting

BYU continues to expand its staff and has officially announced Justin Young as its men's basketball recruiting director.

Justin is the older brother of BYU head coach Kevin Young and has been in the grassroots basketball and recruiting scene for over two decades. Kevin has developed a network of grassroots-level relationships across the country and around the world that will be invaluable to BYU. Justin was the national basketball editor for Rivals.com and was most recently editor-in-chief of HoopSeen.com.

In addition to his relationships, Justin provides BYU with someone who can focus 100% on recruiting. Justin will watch film and games of BYU prospects around the world – at the high school level, internationally and even college games with potential transfer portal opportunities. BYU Basketball has never had a full-time recruiting director, and Justin's network and time scouting players around the world will give BYU an added advantage it didn't have before.

Justin has already been instrumental to his brother as he adjusts to the college level, helping him build his staff and giving him advice and insight into recruiting college basketball players. He is on campus for the big official visit weekend.
