Cardi B Threatens to Sue Troll Over CPS Call: 'Not Funny'

Cardi B Threatens to Sue Troll Over CPS Call: 'Not Funny'

Cardi B had some poignant words for the prankster who she said called child protective services to her home. Beneath it was a warning: “You will see the evil side of me.”

The “WAP” rap star and mother of three brought her anonymous troll and unidentified CPS department into overdrive early Tuesday morning during a profanity-filled Instagram Live in which she declared jokes had “taken it too far.” Cardi B – who was out of a hospital bed as she had been “extremely ill” since the weekend – said Child Protective Services representatives showed up at her gated mansion on Monday night and responded to a call that her children had been “abused and beaten.” . Cardi B, who shares her children with her ex-husband and Migos rapper Offset, has several homes but did not specify which was the location of the CPS visit.

“This is when the pranks go too far,” she said, according to a nine-minute video on X (formerly Twitter). “That's not funny.”

A representative for Cardi B did not immediately respond to The Times' request for additional comment on Tuesday.

The 32-year-old Grammy winner said she was the only person of color in her neighborhood and vowed to track down the person who called CPS. She added that she will sue both CPS and the anonymous caller. Cardi B detailed her plans to hire private investigators and legal counsel, warning, “Never in your life play with my children.”

The alleged CPS visit came a month after Cardi B announced the birth of her second girl and third child with Offset. The musicians and “Jealousy” collaborators also share daughter Kulture, 6, and son Wave, 3. Cardi B denied the abuse allegations, noting that her children “live great” and that she has never laid a hand on them.

She mentioned the tens of thousands of dollars in private school tuition she allegedly pays for Kulture and Wave and the high hourly rate for her newest child's babysitter.

“We take very good care of our children,” she said. “Don’t ever…play with my motherhood or my ex-husband’s fatherhood.”

Offset and Cardi B may have gone their separate ways after seven years of marriage, but the “Bodak Yellow” rapper said she would enlist her ex's help to get back at the prank caller – under certain conditions. If the caller turned out to be a man, Cardi B would send Offset to beat him up. If it were a woman, Cardi B said, she would literally take matters into her own hands.

She assumed the person would be on their knees, begging her for mercy for what she might have thought was just a prank. “Don’t bring this home.”
