Castlevania franchise crosses paths with another popular game series

Hit indie title Vampire survivors reveals a new collaboration with Konami Castlevania series and promises to be the biggest DLC release yet. Since its release two years ago Vampire survivors quickly became a huge success for Luca Galante and the Poncle team. In fact, the team has continued this momentum by releasing new updates to the game, both through free and paid DLC, and by collaborating with other major franchises to add unique elements to the indie title.

While Poncle gave fans original content early on with Legacy of the Moonspell and Tides of Foscari, he's turned the tables a bit with the newer DLC packs. For example, Emergency Meeting Innnersloth's legendary characters “Among Us” were brought to Vampire Survivors with playable Crewmate characters, weapons, and an adventure mode. This was followed by the announcement of Operation Guns for Vampire survivorsand brings the Contra series into play with its rapid-fire weapons, grenades and everything else you'd expect. Now Poncle and Konami are collaborating once again to bring another iconic series to the hit indie title.

Vampire Survivors Dev Studio launches new publishing division

After the incredible success of its debut game Vampire Survivors, developer Poncle is looking to explore new opportunities as a publisher.

In a franchise collaboration that just makes too much sense, Vampire survivors and Konami's Castlevania Series finally cross paths. The latest content pack for Vampire survivors is called Ode to Castlevania and promises another 10 hours of gameplay for what Poncle describes as his biggest DLC to date. A new trailer shows off much of the upcoming content, including some iconic bosses from the Castlevania Series. With a huge new map to explore, Poncle has also announced tons of secrets to discover and the possibility that a vampire could finally be in the game.

Vampire Survivors Ode to Castlevania DLC release date.

Poncle plans for this DLC pack to be a big experience for players and admits that Ode to Castlevania is about 70-80% the size of the base Vampire survivors Game. For this reason, Poncle has set the price slightly higher than before Vampire survivor DLC packages, but with this, players have 40 new weapons, 30 new music tracks and some classics at their disposal Castlevania Melodies are also available in the music selection. The DLC also includes over 20 playable characters from the iconic series' main characters such as Trevor and Simon Belmont, Alucard and many more from the franchise's long history.


What CastlevaniaDue to the recent announcements this year, it's been a bit of a roller coaster ride for fans. Konami brought this to market Castlevania Dominus Collection in August, offering fans the opportunity to replay top-rated Nintendo DS titles on modern platforms. However, Castlevania Fans still waiting for a new game have instead been treated to a number of crossover announcements, as the franchise has recently collaborated with games like Dead by daylightV Rising and Dead cellsand even appeared on the popular team Asobi AstroBot. While Castlevania remains at the forefront of the gaming industry, it seems fans will have to wait even longer for a proper main game to be announced.
