Champions League predictions 2024-25: Each team's likelihood of qualifying for the knockout stages

The Champions League has a new format for 2024-25. Forget the group tables, we now have a 36-team league stage before reaching the knockout stages in February. But who has the best chance of qualifying for the knockout round directly or via the playoff round? Throughout the season we will be publishing predictions – based on Opta data – to show how teams are likely to perform. These are updated after each game week. When the league stage is over, there is a possibility of reaching the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals. It may take some getting used to the competition's expanded format, but these predictions can show you how it could all play out.
