Christopher Ciccone, Madonna's brother and collaborator, dies at 63 | Christopher Ciccone, Madonna, RIP | Just Jared: Celebrity News and Gossip

Christopher Ciccone unfortunately passed away.

The younger brother of Madonna died Friday (October 4) in Michigan after a battle with cancer, his rep told TMZ.

He was 63 years old.

The news comes just a month later Madonna's stepmother, Joan CicconeHe also died after a battle with cancer.

Christopher was a central part of it MadonnaIn her early career, she famously worked as one of their backup dancers and appeared in club performances and music videos such as “Lucky Star” before becoming a show designer and backstage host. He was also the art director of their icon Blonde Ambition World Tour.

He wrote in his autobiography Living with my sister Madonna that she called him and said, “I'm going on tour, and of course I want you to dress me, but you think you should also design the stage and art direct the show.”

He was then appointed tour guide for their follow-up, The Girlie Show.

In addition, he directed music videos for legends like Tony Bennett And Dolly Parton.

He later became an interior designer and even launched a shoe collection. While at some point he and his sister had a public argument, which led to his book Living with my sister Madonnathey eventually repaired the relationship.
