Ciara celebrates Russell Wilson's win in Steelers debut

Ciara is enjoying every moment of this special Victory Monday.

On Monday, the 38-year-old singer took to Instagram to celebrate his husband, Russell Wilson, after he scored a comfortable 37-15 victory over the Jets in his Steelers debut on Sunday.

“Victory Monday! Go Daddy @DangeRussWilson! Go @Steelers,” Ciara captioned the post, which included photos of the family rocking Wilson’s No. 3 jersey at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh.

The quarterback, who was sidelined earlier this season with ongoing calf problems, was given the QB1 nod for Sunday ahead of Justin Fields, who led the Steelers to a 4-2 start.

Although the quarterback change raised many eyebrows, Wilson delivered a solid performance, going 16 of 29 for 264 yards and two touchdowns. He also added a score on the ground.

“I felt like it was playoff baseball,” said Wilson, who came to Pittsburgh after being released by the Broncos this offseason. “Started 0-for-2 but felt like I was getting hot. I kept telling the coach, “Hey, I’m getting hot,” and sure enough, we did. The guys did a great job up front giving me enough time to make throws, the guys made plays on the field and everything else.”

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin praised the performance of Wilson, who was named a starter out of training camp over the summer.

“I thought he was excellent,” he said after the game. “…It's been a while since he's played the ball, but I thought he settled in, knocked the rust off, man, distributed the ball and played well.”

The Steelers entered Sunday's primetime matchup against the Jets with a win and beat the Raiders 32-13 on the road last week.

Fields, who was traded from the Bears to the Steelers in March, scored two rushing touchdowns against Las Vegas.

He only threw one interception in six games.

“I have to give credit to Justin Fields, all the things he could do, how great he played,” Wilson said Sunday.

When the Steelers host the Giants next Monday night, Ciara will likely be at the game to cheer on her favorite player.

She and Wilson have been married since 2016 and have three children together: daughters Sienna, 7, and Amora, 10 months, and 4-year-old son Win.

Ciara also has a 10-year-old son, Future, from a previous relationship.
