Colts announce 5 inactive players for Week 6 game against Tennessee Titans; Anthony Richardson inactive as third emergency quarterback

NASHVILLE – Quarterback Anthony Richardson (oblique) is among five inactive players the Colts announced Sunday for their Week 6 game against the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium.

Richardson is designated as the Colts' third emergency quarterback, meaning he was only able to enter the game due to injuries or disqualifications of the other quarterbacks on the Colts' active gameday roster (Joe Flacco and Sam Ehlinger).

Richardson was listed as questionable on Friday's final practice report of the week. Head coach Shane Steichen said Friday Richardson, who suffered an oblique injury in Week 4 and did not play in Week 5, would be a playing time decision. Richardson was a limited participant in practices on Wednesday and Friday and was a full participant on Thursday.

Wide receivers Michael Pittman Jr. (back) and Josh Downs (toe) are both active after being listed as questionable on Friday. Cornerback Kenny Moore II (hip, shoulder) and right tackle Braden Smith (knee, ankle) are also active after being listed as questionable.

The Colts ruled out running back Jonathan Taylor (ankle) on Friday. The complete inactive list for Week 6:

  • QB Anthony Richardson (oblique, third quarterback)
  • WR Anthony Gould
  • RB Jonathan Taylor (ankle)
  • G Danny Pinter
  • EN Genard Avery
