Calling all stargazers! A once-in-a-lifetime comet can still be seen in the skies over Tennessee.

Comet C/2023 A3 Tsuchinshan–ATLAS is currently visible to the naked eye. It was brightest on October 13th, but can still be seen until the end of the month.

According to EarthSky, this is the brightest comet seen in the last 27 years.

As the comet passes Earth, it captivates viewers around the world. Images from across the United States show the bright comet in the western night sky.

According to The Sky Live, the comet will be visible near Knoxville on October 15th at an altitude of 29.33° above the horizon.

To see the comet, EarthSky recommends finding Venus, the brightest planet, and then looking to the right to see Comet A3's long, delicate tail. The comet is visible to the naked eye in dark skies, but you may need small binoculars in light-polluted areas.

In the morning, before sunrise, the comet is low in the eastern sky.

You can view the comet both before sunrise and after sunset. The comet is unlikely to be visible in daylight.
