Cross Canadian Ragweed Reunion: How to buy tickets

Organizers behind this Cross Canadian Ragweed reunion concerts announced two additional dates after Monday's presale was met with long waits and high demand typically more common with major acts like Taylor Swift or Oasis than the Red Dirt scene.

Ragweed and co-headliners the Turnpike Troubadours have extended their 2025 “Boys from Oklahoma” weekend at Boone Pickens Stadium on the campus of Oklahoma State University in Stillwater to include Thursday, April 10, and Sunday, April 13. Originally announced as a one-night concert on April 12, it has grown into a four-day mega-residency.

“I knew people wanted a reunion,” says Ragweed frontman Cody Canada Rolling Stone. “I've been hearing it for years. I had no idea it would be so big. I’m so grateful.”

Participants on the additional evenings will once again include Jason Boland and the Stragglers and Stoney LaRue. The Great Divide and Mike McClure's band round out the program. The bands are sharing codes for a pre-sale starting Tuesday, October 8th at 12pm Central. The public sale is scheduled for Friday, October 11th, but all tickets for the first two shows were sold out in Monday's presale.

When Oklahoma State athletic department executives and Russell Doussan, president of the Doussan Music Group, mapped out the April 12 show, the expectation was that a single show would — optimistically — sell out the roughly 40,000 tickets scheduled for the concert. When presale registrations rose to over 150,000 within a day of the show's announcement, they added April 11th. The organizers revealed when all tickets were sold out in advance sales on Monday Rolling Stone There were still more than 200,000 fans logged in to purchase tickets, so they approached the bands about adding the third and fourth nights.

“I’ve been in the business for 31 years,” Doussan says. “I've been involved in some big projects and have never experienced anything like this before. I was in Stillwater this weekend (for an Oklahoma State football game) and I couldn't take two steps all day without someone walking up to me or overhearing a conversation about this concert as if it was happening next weekend. There are still six and a half months until then.

“I was part of the Guns N' Roses reunion tour,” he continues. “I did their stadium show in New Orleans, and this goes beyond that.”

Stillwater, population 50,000, regularly hosts sold-out Oklahoma State University football games at Boone Pickens Stadium, but the concert stretched the city's tourism infrastructure to its limits and hotels were full over the weekend before the event was even announced. and fans report price gouging on popular accommodation sites like Airbnb and VRBO. Add to that the prospect of a multi-day concert while the university and its more than 25,000 enrolled students are in session, and preparations by OSU and Stillwater will be under scrutiny ahead of the concerts.

On trend

“We have a lot of experience with large events in the city, but this will definitely be the biggest party we've hosted in a long time,” said Stillwater Mayor Will Joyce Rolling Stone. “Our public safety and emergency management teams are working very closely with OSU staff to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time in Stillwater, and there will be many meetings over the next few months to ensure this event is a “It will be a great and wonderful experience.” Memory.”
